In 2003, David Chickey and David Skolkin started Skolkin+Chickey, a multi-disciplinary design studio based in Santa Fe, NM. 

DAVID CHICKEY has worked as a curator, director, and designer in the art world for over 20 years. A graduate of UNC, Chapel Hill and Sussex University in England, his experience includes work in many areas of the museum, gallery, and non-profit art world—including Sotheby’s, London, Allene LaPides Gallery, and the St. Louis Center for Contemporary Art. He is the former board chair of the Center for Contemporary Arts in Santa Fe, NM.

DAVID SKOLKIN‘s career began in New York City working in the studio of one of the top book designers in the publishing industry. While in New York he designed and art directed book and exhibition projects for most of the major art book publishers as well as museums and art institutions in New York and around the country.

AWARDS: Skolkin+Chickey have received much recognition including: multiple awards from the AIGA (50 books/ 50 covers competition); American Association of Museums Publishing competition (over ten including two first place awards in the last three years); Publishers Association of the West (over 14 in the last ten years); and an Infinity Award for best photographic book of the year (International Center for Photography).
